Overview

Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for an Experience Designer!

To be considered for this position:

  • You must currently reside in the continental United States and be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship of any kind during the length of the assignment
  • You must be able to showcase/present your work/case studies.  This includes the design process you took and not just the finished product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads discovery of user needs and jobs to be done and translates those into intuitive, easy to use, end-to-end digital experiences.
  • Partners with product and development to align with user and business goals and the broader customer experience. 
  • Responsible for adhering to and implementing brand and design systems standards, leveraging and maturing our component library, and the delivery of UI and collaboration with development through the build of digital experiences through to production
  • Play a central role within the design process to ensure we're meeting requirements for a11y, content and enterprise design system guidelines.
  • Orchestrate design activities across disciplines and ultimately accountable for user experience of features produced by scrum team (in case of design embedded at scrum team level)
  • Research user needs and identifies problems to be solved. Translates insights into targeted scenarios and user flows at the feature level, using design personas.
  • Define and lay out the organization of elements on the pages to best meet user needs (wireframes), in close collaboration with other Experience Designers, Researchers, A11Y Designers, Client Architects and Content Strategists
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with Product Owners and external stakeholders
  • Build upon research, testing and UX deliverables to ensure that the final interface is high-functioning and conforms to platform patterns and practices for responsive web, iOS and Android
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to ensure design work is aligned to corporate standards

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years experience as a UX/UI Designer, Experience Designer, Product Designer or Interaction Designer 
  • At least 3 years experience of working on Native Mobile (iOS and Android) and Responsive Web experiences
  • At least 3 years experience working with Figma
  • At least 3 years experience working in an Agile environment
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
