Website Marketing Manager

This is a full-time position - based at our headquarters in Hollister, CA, - Remote

 

OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking an experienced Website Marketing Manager to develop, manage, and maintain our end-to-end website experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience driving business and marketing success through the strategic evolution of the customer journey through UX design, overall site functionality, and appearance, ideally in the life sciences/biotech space and/or relevant B2B categories. This role is responsible for managing ongoing updates ranging from daily maintenance to large-scale redesigns, creating compelling content and landing pages, monitoring and optimizing website performance (content, user experience, technical), and managing search engine performance. Experience supporting and managing customers through their entire purchase decision journey will be critical based on the importance of our web-based content and ecommerce store on our bottom-line results.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

· Own the performance of the Teknova website to ensure it supports our end-to-end B2B customer journey: driving awareness and consideration through educational content, generating qualified leads for our Sales team, and driving direct sales through our ecommerce store, including post-sale support and management, retention and loyalty

· Translate business and marketing strategies into actionable roadmap, with clear initiatives and success metrics/KPIs for how the website will drive company goals

· Drive development of website redesign (including rollout of new brand identity, development of new website content, integration of new ecommerce and customer support infrastructure), in partnership with our internal Content Studio and in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Product, and Scientific Affairs)

· Manage the implementation of effective search engine optimization and coordinate keyword strategies with Digital Marketing partners

· Update website content as needed, using CMS, HTML

· Project manage complex work streams, initiatives, and budgets across multiple website efforts

· Partner with IT to troubleshoot issues, ensure ongoing security and technical integrity, and evolve design and UX to deliver optimal customer experience

· Establish best practices and playbooks, analytical rigor, and hypothesis-based test-and-learn approach

· Streamline processes and build scalable solutions to support increased content and campaign efforts

 

Requirements:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor degree required, ideally in Marketing, Computer Science, or IT (Master degree or other relevant advanced degree preferred but not required) 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years professional experience in website management, demonstrating ability to perform and grow in a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
  • Experience working within the life sciences, biotech and/or bioproduction categories or other relevant knowledge preferred, particularly in cell and gene therapy and/or diagnostics space
  • Experience working and building relationships with internal cross-functional groups and external agencies/vendors
  • Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to distill large problems into actionable learnings and outcomes
  • Team oriented and can work effectively across all levels of management, teams, and disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of Magento platform, Google Analytics, along with familiarity of using CMS
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, and NetSuite preferred
