This is an on-site role in The Grove in LA.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $180,000


Looking for a full-time permanent CG Supervisor. The CG Supervisor will work with a leader in the children's animation industry.


The CG Supervisor's Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering departments & all CG teams to ensure all deadlines are met and to troubleshoot technical issues that arise.
  • Delegate work to all of those teams as needed
  • Lead the charge on troubleshooting as well as optimizing creative and technical solutions for the entire CG pipeline: modeling, rigging, texturing, layout, animation, VFX, lighting and rendering.
  • Build efficient production pipelines with partner/vendor studios
  • Ensure all internal and external studio assets created are sufficiently and soundly able to be utilized in episodic content and are optimized if necessary. Own, manage, and facilitate creative and technical fixes between studios if need be.
  • Communicate schedule blockers to the Producer and collaborate with Producer to find solutions
  • Manage and oversee technical budget
  • Make recommendations on tool development that fit within budgetary parameters
  • Coordinate installation of any necessary CG software and equipment for the team with Moonbug IT.
  • Utilize both technical and artistic expertise to give daily feedback that adheres  to brand quality and guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with all members of the internal and external teams
  • Properly and accurately gauge timelines required for completion of work.
  • Mentor and foster the growth of CG artists.

The CG Supervisor's Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience as a CG Supervisor, Digital Supervisor or Head of CG for a 3D children’s pre-school series, or similar animated content.
  • Must have extensive experience as an artist working across multiple CG disciplines
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the full CG production pipeline, including modeling, texturing, rigging, layout, animation,VFX,  lighting, rendering and compositing
  • Must have experience working with studios outside of North America
