We are looking for a qualitative-focused UX Researcher who can help understand the “why” behind behaviors and attitudes. You’ll be working on a larger research team that has researchers from a variety of disciplines including qualitative, quantitative, behavioral science, and ethnography. As an ideal candidate, you have extensive experience with a variety of user research methods and best practices and demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing your peers in Design, Product and Engineering to influence the vision of the products we develop and deliver research helps us create world-class experiences that our customers will value highly.

  • Start date: ASAP 
  • Duration: 6 months +
  • Location: remote (any timezone in the US is ok!)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours
  • Weekly pay and benefits provided by Vitamin T
  • Background screening required prior to the start date

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with product, design and engineering to influence the vision that drives our client's product development
  • You’ll develop and deliver impactful research that informs decisions across the product lifecycle.
  • Identify the best research approaches to target the right information based on research questions, timing and resources.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations that your stakeholders and peers can act upon
  • Work cross-functionally across different disciplines (Hiring Science, Product, Engineering) to tell a holistic story of customers’ needs, values, and experiences.


  • 3+ years conducting user research for software/web based products with demonstrated impact on the products you worked on.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred in design, psychology, business, human factors, cognitive science, computer science, human-computer interaction (HCI), related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated discernment and ability to do the right research for the task at hand. We balance speed with the value we provide. We are looking for candidates who have many tools in their research toolkit and know which tool to bring to utilize for the task at hand.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills that leverage effective communication and presentation to enable the team to efficiently activate plans.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills with a proven ability to turn research results into product insights and new product opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Flexible approach to research. Our goal is to provide product teams value. If an existing research method doesn’t do that, we invent our own research methods.
  • Experience with remote testing tools.
