EXCITING SENIOR COPYWRITER OPPORTUNITY

Our client, a financial cooperative who serves their members with excellent programs, is looking for a Senior Copywriter to work as a collaborative part of their Creative Services team.  The role is responsible for crafting the voice of the brand across multiple touch points, including digital media (website, emails, and digital advertising), digital and physical member experiences (retail and events), traditional print marketing of all types, and internal projects. The Senior Copywriter is expected to actively contribute to the development of new ideas and create polished, final deliverables whether working solo or with other creatives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of our branding, marketing, and advertising initiatives
  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers and Product Managers to distill complex features in an engaging, brand-right way.
  • Brainstorms, concept, collaborate, comp, and present innovative creative marketing and advertising work that connects with our members and gets measurable results
  • Work with our creative team to create strategic marketing assets for projects including, but not limited to, digital marketing (email, web banners, digital experiences, social assets, etc.), retail displays, traditional print marketing, video content
  • Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts
  • Be a steward of and maintain the Brand in all creative created in-house
  • Must be a team player, able to work within budgets and tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative evolution – stay up to date with branding and advertising in all mediums

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a lead creative in an advertising or in-house creative role
  • Experience with financial brands is preferred
  • Experience in both print and digital marketing/advertising
  • Mastery of written communication, both short- and long-form
  • Proven creative ability
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to solve problems, even when they are not fully defined
  • Ability to see the big picture as well as the production aspects of a job.
  • Ability to present and sell creative ideas
  • A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • An exceptional copywriting portfolio website
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
