Overview

Our client, a seed-round underwear DTC brand is seeking a co-founder level, experienced creative director who has passion and insights to lead our creative direction. You will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position in order to advance our sales goals and establish company's brand in the market. They're not just looking for an "employee", but an entrepreneurial cofounder who partners with us to achieve something amazing. This role is preferably based in Los Angeles; they're open to having a discussion if in NYC. Please, note expectated work hours 12pm - 9 pm PST (while the Co-Founder is in China)

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the creative team in the production of all social media, email, web, print, television and other digital marketing collateral
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, digital and brand design, engaging content and approaches for advertising in new marketing channels
  • Collaborate across the Growth team to develop advertising strategies, create marketing plans, analyze results, and identify opportunities for testing and learning
  • Collaborate with the Fashion Design and Merchandising team to decide our new collections/drops
  • Champion creative direction to make compelling and captivating content that engages viewers into purchases on our website - work towards the broader vision of making the brand t a recognized and trusted brand by telling our story
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling content across all mediums and groups of consumers
  • Become the expert who has deep insights into our customers, including their lifestyles, preferences, aesthetics, relevant trends, etc.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Hands on experience in DTC ecommerce advertising, preference given for those who worked on early stage companies 5 years of related experience with 3+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing best practices in terms of creative design and driving engagement
  • Prior experience with copywriting, design, or production
  • Great leadership skills, ability to learn fast and collaborate across teams

What You Need:

  • Solid experience as Art Director or Creative Director
  • Has created assets for GenZ
  • Visual Direction (previous experience leading brand visual identity)
  • Digital Marketing (soild experience creating comms across channels)
  • Copy & Art-based (experience in delivering campaign copy and visuals)
  • Brand management experience (experience owning, building, promoting and managing a brand, store or an agency); interested in strategy & management (nice-to-have)
