As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will service brand clients to develop and implement strategic plans that successfully engage consumers, customers and trade professionals online. You will understand and navigate the digital landscape to determine the best messaging, storytelling vehicles, and platforms to reach target audiences and create a personalized experience that moves our brands forward. This will include activation across paid social, branded websites, influencer partnerships, video, display, search, retailers and trade shows. Not only will you work closely with the DCX integrated creative, media, web ops and project management teams, but this candidate will also work closely with external agency partners in the development, alignment and execution of all content and media recommendations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert and primary contact for all things digital marketing across leading brands
  • Develop strong relationships across brand, product and channel clients as well as cross-functional internal teams and agency partners
  • Voraciously consume and share the latest industry and competitor news, platforms, tactics, media and content strategies, and apply it to client projects
  • Be bold in proposing test & learn opportunities to clients, even if it stretches beyond existing scope
  • Deliver excellent client servicing and manage difficult conversations

Develop & Implement Overarching Digital Strategy:

  • Translate business challenges into media objectives, creative strategies and tactical approaches
  • Communicate strategy and plan details effectively to key stakeholders at varying levels of digital media and content knowledge
  • Ownership of all existing and future digital channels and tactics (including but not limited to owned, email, influencers, search, social, digital media, mobile etc)
  • Create and document best practices across: creative planning, channel strategy, targeting and measurement specific to the portfolio of brands
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest projects and opportunities to help deliver cohesive, innovative digital strategies across cross-functional internal teams and external agencies
  • Curate digital initiatives that drive impact with key multi-channel retailers

Digital Touchpoint Management:

  • Partner with Brand Managers, Digital Creatives, Paid Media Leads, eCommerce and Agencies to plan monthly and quarterly digital content needs across all brand touchpoints
  • Lead the social program, guiding the strategic plan that outlines the objectives, goals and tactics across all social platforms and communities which drive full funnel outcomes to our products
  • Oversee the content creation process (Photography, Video, Motion Graphics, CGI, Renders, Copy, etc.) across all existing and future digital channels to ensure DCX creative team stays on brief, on budget and on time with the clients ask
  • Partner with DCX Web Ops team to ensure branded websites are audited and optimized on an ongoing basis, in-line with key promotional periods, product launches and all other brand priorities
  • Develop and expand community (1st party data) and influencer outreach efforts

Measurement & Reporting:

  • Develop KPIs and metrics that define success, monitor performance against them and report actionable insights monthly and as needed on an ad-hoc basis
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer and Sales teams to ensure digital marketing campaigns align with business priorities across all channels
  • Create, maintain and publish digital marketing calendars, budgets, plans across all brands, with focus on key product innovation launches and organizational tentpole initiatives
  • Analyze digital trends and drive consumer feedback, take actionable steps to implement learnings

Mentor & Manage Digital Marketing Staff:

  • Build training materials and best practice documentation
  • Oversee the work of direct reports, train industry knowledge, and manage workflow
  • Ensure team maintains a high level of expertise, training and certifications across digital platforms
  • Maintain a positive personality that fits into the DCX and H&G culture, and contributes to its growth

Technical Skills & Experience

  • 5-7 years in digital marketing, digital communications, ecommerce, or equivalent field
  • Experience at a large agency and/or in-house digital agency is required
  • Experience working across CPG clients is required
  • Experience managing strategy, execution and measurement of paid social campaigns required
  • Experience managing the creative development process from the account team side (including but not limited to photography, video, CGI, render animation) and translating expectations between brand clients and creatives
  • Understanding of Addressable Geo-Fencing and local based campaigns. Working experience with platforms that enable this targeting capability
  • Understanding and competency in marketing analytics and business intelligence tools (Google Analytics/ Google Data Studio / BI / Salesforce reporting/ DOMO)
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact, and determine and communicate improvements
  • Experience with web design and UX strategy preferred
