Full-time design opening for an Associate UX Designer! Ideally, this is someone with a strong design background who wants to break into the UX space. This person will assist lead designers and maintain and improve the overall application user experience. 

• Duration: full-time, 40 hours per week, temp-to-hire. 

• Location: Irving, TX (Please note, the company is currently working full-time remote but they would ideally like to find someone in the DFW area who can work onsite when things open back up in the future). 

• Start Date: January 2021 

• Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/year (depending on experience

• Please note: must be able to pass a drug and background screening prior to starting

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in usability testing and gathering user feedback
• Help maintain application UI design consistency. 
• Collaborates with the product team to synthesize interview information into product expectations 
• Helps create interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize task flows.
• Assists in the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
• Assists in the creation and maintaining of the Design Management System.
• Maintains awareness of UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• Develops an understanding of the different audience groups in the business unit / function that receive technical communications and how they differ from each other
• Effectively communicates customer requirements and identifies technical issues.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred
• Show the ability to tell a story with design.
• Have a strong portfolio in Design, Web design, infographics, or interactive graphic design
• Willingness to dive into tricky business, technical, and/or design problems, ask questions and offer solutions.
• Shows a desire to collaborate with lead designers to help create visual designs and prototypes of new products
•  Has the ability to articulate design rationale & tradeoffs with the product team.
• Takes users insights and agile methodologies to design and maintain products/application
• Listens actively and questions / clarify information to ensure understanding of customer technology needs
• Seeks out relevant information to ensure own understanding of complex information
• Knowledge of design software (Sketch and InVision are a big plus)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; javascript a plus!
