Job Description

The Packaging Project Manager is responsible for facilitating and coordinating studio projects associated with the development and implementation of packaging.  The PM will work closely with the Account Managers, Graphic Designers and Packaging Engineers. The PM will also serve as a liaison between Sales, Sourcing / Costing, Operations and our Asia-based staff for project-specific matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, track and maintain project timelines.
  • Coordinate with Design Staff for the completion of design related tasks, including initial design, approvals, quality checks, and implementations.
  • Complete/Coordinate necessary project-related documentation (including but not limited to: RFQs, design and cost approvals, work back schedules, item commercialization setup forms).
  • Working with the Account Manage ensure completion of all necessary client approvals of both digital files and physical samples.
  • Maintain ongoing accurate records of project costs which may include supplier invoices, design hour accruals, prototype costs, courier transportation and third-party shipping.
  • On occasion, work directly with Client on packaging project requirements, design direction and development.
  • Communicate with departments outside of Design Studio to keep appraised of project details, status, and changes.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Interested candidates should have 4 or more years’ experience in project management, customer support or as a business analyst.
  • Experience working with a global staff is a definite plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required for this position.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment while maintaining accurate records.
  • The ability to exercise independent decision-making with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have experience working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience making presentations is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cross cultural experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft applications including Excel
