A commercial real estate firm in NYC is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer with a focus on Animation to help them out for the next few months!

  • Report To: Senior Graphic Designer
  • Main focus: Animating social media graphics
  • Team: team of designers downtown, but in midtown office there is one other designer (your Report To) and you would be working with about 15 brokers
  • Onsite

Job Description Summary

One of the country’s leading commercial real estate finance, investment sales and retail leasing firms, is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and creative Graphic Designer with the ability to produce effective and high-quality marketing materials, ranging from offering memoranda to email campaigns. This position requires a well-organized, responsible, resourceful and detail-oriented team player with the ability to juggle competing priorities and work under strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will have prior graphic design experience in real estate and/or financial services as well as experience using digital illustration and layout software including Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to provide marketing and graphic design services under the direction of Senior Designer
  • Design and format marketing materials including offering memoranda, property brochures, proposals, presentation boards, set ups, flyers, postcards and newsletters
  • Build animations and Gifs for social platforms, email, digital banners and more using Photoshop and After Effects
  • Create concepts and layouts based on knowledge of design principles and elevated aesthetics
  • Create on-brand marketing materials that adhere to branding guidelines
  • Build area maps that illustrate businesses, transportation and points of interest surrounding a property
  • Create tables, charts, graphs, illustrations and other visuals in a highly efficient manner
  • Coordinate production of materials including gathering printing bids, packaging artwork and assembling final layouts for printers, preparing notes and instructions for printers and other vendors

 

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design/Communications or related discipline
  • 2+ years of graphic design experience or any similar combination of education and experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • In depth knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects for animation
  • Understand, design, and use infographics and iconography to create effective visual communication
  • Detail oriented, well organized, able to handle multiple projects at any given time and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with high-end graphics, marketing, or production environment
  • Proven record of providing outstanding internal and external customer service

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong design competency
  • Creative and takes initiative
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and balance a broad variety of priorities
  • Possess editing and proofreading skills
  • Solid time management capabilities and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work effectively and efficiently under deadlines

Experience with Animation and Gif making

  • Animations for Social platforms, Email, digital banners, etc
  • Software: Photoshop – After Effects is a Plus!
