A digital transformation agency located downtown is seeking an Editor-in-Chief to help them out with a particular client!

Project Summary: Are you someone with a love for emerging trends in consumer technology, as well as pretty up on all those cool digital trends that engage younger Gen-Z readers? Love developing editorial calendars? Well then you might be right for this job.
The client is expanding it's editorial team and is looking for a creative editor-in-chief to oversee all editorial and lifestyle content for a major global consumer technology brand. You will be working alongside creative directors, data analysts, strategists, content planners, as well as international client teams, to develop, evolve, and establish a firm editorial point of view for content that will come to life in a variety of owned and earned media platforms.
Ideally, you have experience building and overseeing a strong talent pool of in house multi-disciplinary content experts and freelance writers and editors you like to work with, while being ready to get your hands dirty when needed. You should have experience with using SEO keywords, data, consumer insights, cultural moments, and brand moments to inform a variety of awesome, engaging, and unique content types. Agency and media experience a plus.
Bring in established writers while also identifying emerging writers
Help to inform, establish and execute our editorial calendar
Define and enforce editorial tone of voice
Ensure compliance with global content guidelines and style guides
Supervise, top edit, and approve all articles, include content from partner agencies
Supervise article output of creative team of copywriters and designers
Lead content ideation sessions
Develop story angles, nomenclature, POVs, storyboards, briefs
10+ years of editing experience, at least some in tech-focused journalism, ideally with several years managing writers and/or editors
Passionate about great storytelling, as well as a love of style and technology
Strong editor who’s a stickler for top-tier editorial standards and quality prose
Organized and forward-thinking, ready to anticipate opportunities and troubleshoot problem
Creative and conceptual thinker who can lead work across a broad range of topics
Experience creating editorial and branded content for leading national/global brands
Excellent PowerPoint / Keynote, Excel, Word, editing and proofreading skills
Excellent team leader and mentor who inspires, nurtures and motivates teams to do their best creative work
Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to C-suite clients
Daily contact with HQ client to lead, consult, manage and supervise content creation developed by the agency team, client teams and others.
1 year ago we pitched a program for the client. It's a content hub that sits on their website. The content is not only sales & product focused, but shows lifestyle and consumer benefits as well.
The program has already been launched in 75 countries
There is content PS created, content the global client created, and content from other global partner agencies
The Client is looking for someone to have a creative POV, help them manage all global content at all times and ensure the tone and feel of content is all the same
Client is very well organized and has weekly status calls from Korea on Monday evenings at 7 or 8 pm ET, there may be other occasional off-hours communications as well
Must have a global perspective and global experience – this person can’t just be US centric in the way they think and POV
We need someone to:
Drive editorial vision and strategy for the Explore program
Execute creative POV
Oversee all incoming content
Ensure content meets client business standards
Who has a cool content strategy & editorial background with companies similar to Vice or fashion or consumer electronics on the lifestyles side
Must understand digital world in terms of how online portals work
Strong understanding of SEO and how to generate organic traffic , but secondarily with paid supports
Team is very open, has really great support and is very ambitious
There is an incredible amount of opportunity to create really great content
