Our client is seeking a Creative Production Art Lead for a studio that has brand building and production art experience, a keen design eye for the details and their own unique background in creative, pre-media, print and/or digital process that will complement and help enhance our existing creative team as a whole. The Creative Production Art Lead will work with the firm’s Creative Team to establish design direction for a wide range of projects involving strategy, branding, process, narrative, motion and/or design.
Understand all phases of the various creative projects from start-to-finish
Will be the Go-To internal Creative and Production Art expert who can design graphics for use in basically any kind of Marketing collateral required (ie pitch decks, packaging, mood boards, booklets, catalogues, brochures, videos, ads, postcards, eBlasts, Instagram posts, logos, taglines, icons, presentations including templates, infographics, POS sheets, posters, etc.
Review the work of other designers and give creative and technical feedback to complete the job properly (delivery against the brief and clean artwork files)
Ability to interface (or participate on calls) with clients, marketing teams, and creative directors to initiate and review projects
Help set design standards and provide overall creative direction, or insight, to other team members
Participate in leading creative brainstorming sessions
Excellent design sense and awareness of current design trends.
Strong understanding of typography, layout and design principles.
Comfortable working with creative directors, marketing professionals, and senior executives.
Can interpret complex ideas visually.
Ability to brief design direction to other team members and to coordinate work among other designers.
Review design work from others; give technical and constructive feedback, as well as set design standards.
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of PowerPoint &/or Keynote.
Solid understanding of print design and proper/clean file construction.
Understands the importance of brand and can work within established standards.
Adaptability and willingness to pitch in where needed.
Degree in graphic design or comparable (ideally OCAD graduate)
At least 10+ years working experience
Portfolio must show a diverse range of work and styles, across packaging, digital and print that they themselves designed directly.
