Job Description

Vitamin T has partnered with a client looking for a Designer to produce creative, efficient and professional design solutions for all sign related needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Sales and Design Manager for overview of assigned jobs.
  • Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appearance, budget, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, manufacturing methods and installation techniques.
  • Integrate existing ideas and develop cohesive design solutions, maintaining and meeting the qualifications specified above.
  • Present design to sales or design manager to discuss need for modification and change.
  • Prepare, print and send approved drawings (in an electronic packet) to sales.
  • Stay up to date with latest design trends, colors, and materials.
  • Continue to learn and pursue new avenues of design integration, functionality and assembly processes and how those items work hand in hand with manufacturing.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Design or similar field is preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites, mainly Adobe Illustrator, pays attention to details, thinks outside the box and can see design in 3D.
  • This candidate must be enthusiastic, reliable, punctual and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to work with others in an open environment, discuss ideas, and accept criticism in a responsible, professional way. Individual shall be open to new ideas. They must develop a good rapport with sales and manufacturing staff and continue to strive to create a positive learning and design experience for those they are in contact with.
  • *Must have knowledge of Windows Outlook, current with Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat. Photoshop and sketch-up knowledge a plus.
