Vitamin T has partnered with a client that is looking for a Technical Designer to take existing conceptual drawings and convert them to workable, production oriented, detailed shop drawings.
Consult with Design Manager for overview of assigned jobs.
Evaluate construction solution(s) based on factors such as appearance, budget, material yields, service ability, inventory, manufacturing methods and installation techniques.
ntegrate existing techniques and develop cohesive engineering solution that meets the qualifications specified above.
Work cohesively with the manufacturing, purchasing and installation manager(s) to confirm product functionality and specifics will work within the system.
Provide a complete set of approved detailed drawings, in the approved format, proofed and numbered in accordance with the current work order. All items shall have the appropriate information outlined and detailed for manufacturing departments to work from.
Stay up to date with latest construction trends, tools, and materials.
Generate creative solutions;
Translate concepts and information into 2D & 3D images;
Use feedback to modify and/or correct designs
Background in Architecture, Product Design, Exhibit Design
3-5 years 3D professional experience
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Pays attention to details and has a strong working knowledge of various materials and fabrication techniques. This candidate must be enthusiastic and reliable.
AutoCAD or similar experience a plus.
knowledge of Windows Outlook, current with Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat. Photoshop AutoCAD and Sketch-up knowledge a plus.
