Job Description

A digital transformation agency located in the Financial District is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team! 

We have a need for a Senior Project Manager who will be aligned to a very large-scale global website redesign project we just won out of our New York office. Given the global aspect to this position, candidates must understand there will be a need for late night calls to accommodate time zones. Additionally, candidates must excel in a fast-paced ever-changing environments. The client has a complex ecosystem that the PM will need to learn to navigate.

It is highly preferred this person is workplace fluent in Korean.

Job Spec:

  • Start Date: ASAP – before the New Year
  • Duration: 6+ Months (potential for extension and conversion based on budget & performance)
  • Location: located downtown in the Financial District
  • Travel: Potential for up to 20% travel to client site in Ridgefield Park, NJ (reimbursed)
  • Client: An electronic & smart appliance technology company
  • Career Level: Manager (7-10 years)
  • Interview Process:
    • 30 Minute Phone with Sr. PM
    • 2 Hour F2F with Hiring Manager, 1-2 other PMs and someone from Creative team
  • Project: Large scale global website redesign for a multinational technology company

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, executing, coordinating and delegating responsibilities in support of large-scale website redesign
  • Drives .COM and Digital Marketing Intake/Production processes, teams, and timelines
  • Facilitates the intake process and vets opportunities with Client Partner
  • Partners with other project leaders to drive teams of 15+ people
  • Builds and structures the project team to ensure maximum performance
  • Provides purpose, direction and motivation to team
  • Clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria
  • Structures and manages integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs of multiple projects. Including:
  • Project and/or program communications
  • Estimations and staffing
  • Creation of project deliverables
  • Scope management
  • Definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Development and tracking of integrated project plans
  • Project and/or program issues tracking and management
  • Sets quality and performance standards
  • Maintains project tracking, dashboards and information systems.
  • Assesses and manages project risk
  • Mentors and coaches project team members
  • Responsible for ongoing client satisfaction
  • Manages peer-level client relationships (expectations, communications, negotiations, escalation, feedback, etc.)
  • Develops relationships with and ensures the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders and client executives
  • Provides day-to-day project contact for the client
  • Directly supervises the work of Associate Project Manager(s)
  • Manages third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary

Requirements:

  • 7+ years project management experience in an agency environment
  • 3+ years of client management experience
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale global website redesign projects
  • Ability to speak conversationally in Korean (strongly preferred, not required)
  • Experience leading multi-discipline, globally-distributed teams of 15 + people in dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Ability to navigate complex ecosystems and adapt to changing environments
  • Experience leading diverse project types and supporting technology, creative and strategy projects
  • Skilled in full project life-cycles from business development to final delivery
    • Experience working with clients in the technology sector (preferred, not required)
    • Jira or Confluence experience
