Job Description

My client an education provider with lots of energy and enthusiasm for adult learning is looking for a Social Media and Content Executive. You will be responsible for the content strategy and to create engaging copy to be used across different marketing channels - both online and traditional. You will be responsible for managing social media channels and social media campaigns to sustain an engaging audience experience and to increase audience satisfaction. You will work with various divisions to promote the brand through social media channels.


Main duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the organisation’s social media accounts ensuring that content is relevant for different platforms
• Create and manage the content marketing calendar to ensure regular content on social media and blogs
• Develop and manage the social media strategy ensuring it aligns with the company’s brand
• Maximise followers on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
• Ensure that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each platform
• Coordinate social media messaging with various divisions and ensure that they align with the company goals
• Work with the marketing team to look at ways social media can work within wider campaigns
• Maximise followers on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and You Tube
• Plan and deliver community management strategies through social media
• Engage with customers on social media channels
• Build reporting frameworks to evaluate ROI on various platforms
• Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and advise on new channels and approaches to adopt
• Regularly monitor competitor social media sites and create competitor analysis reports
• Assist with social media performance reports
• Analyse social media campaigns to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for improvement
• Create awareness and build the profile of the organisation through engaging content
• Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for social media channels, website, marketing collateral, etc
• Ensure all content is relevant for different channels depending on its purpose
• Identify, research and produce appropriate content
• Establish tone of voice and writing styles
• Write entertaining and informative search engine optimised copy
• Produce a consistent brand message across all channels
• Edit, proofread and rewrite company copy written by other members in the organisation
• Produce content for various blogs
• Work with the marketing team to devise a content strategy that aligns with the company's wider goals


Skills and experience required:
• A passion for content writing - you'll need to show a portfolio of work, published work examples, or your personal blog
• Minimum of 2 years in content writing/copywriting / social media marketing
• Excellent English written skills
• Great content creation and copywriting skills
• Experience using CMS, ideally WordPress
• Passionate about social media
• Good understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms
• Strong writing and editing skills suitable for each social media platform, from writing a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques
• Knowledge of content marketing best practices
• Understanding of SEO
• Ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Creative flair, energy and a proactive approach to leveraging results from content
• An eye for detail and the ability to maintain consistency
• A positive, friendly approach to fit in with the and wider team
• Great content creation and copywriting skills
• Experience using CMS, ideally WordPress
• Good analytical skills including Google Analytics
• Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice
• Experience in setting up paid social media campaigns will be an advantage
