Job Description

Vitamin T's Richmond-based client is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join their team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the goal to convert to a permanent associate position after 90 days. 

  • Title: Internal Communications Manager
  • Opportunity: Temp-to-Perm, scheduled to convert to perm after 90 days
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Onsite in Richmond, VA

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and develop assets for internal communications efforts 
  • Develop communications that engage the client's employees about key initiatives 
  • Research and analyze data to guide improvements in employee experience and employee-directed communications.
  • Contribute to the implementation and management of a new, internal digital communications platform
  • Develop and manage a measurement strategy for all of our communications channels
  • Improve programs that focus on building the client's employee engagement.
  • Manage a variety of internal communications channels and projects.
  • Help keep the client's employees engaged and informed about company-wide initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or Marketing, or a sufficient combination of work/education experience
  • 5+ years' experience in internal communication required
  • Previous experience developing and executing employee communications and/or engagement strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Samples of previous writing required
  • Able to communicate complex concepts creatively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success working with executives and a proven track record in executive communications
  • Expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Previous experience managing/updating content for a coporate intranet
  • Previous CMS experience (SharePoint CMS experience specifically is preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Can position messaging with appropriate methods to engage a variety of audiences
  • Able to manage a high volume of detailed work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience using data to develop strategies
