Job Description

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning and coordinating marketing projects and activities, handling the marketing communications for inside and outside of the business, and other projects as assigned by their leader. The Specialist will help to develop different marketing approaches to build brand awareness in target markets and demographics. In addition, the Marketing Specialist will assist in promoting and improving the branding of the client.

Responsibilities:

Manage and assist in the execution of marketing strategies and objectives
Analyze data, market trends, and new media to help elevate marketing strategy, increase brand awareness, and overall market presence
Assist in the implementation and management of multi-media marketing campaigns with tactics such as PR, digital and social media marketing, local and industry-specific publications, sponsorship participation, trade shows, blog posts, web content, and more
Develop and design on-brand tradeshow materials – conference booth, brochures, display stands, email campaigns, etc.
Manage and develop social media strategy – create new ideas and content (e.g., video and new media), refresh profiles, develop and post approved content, manage audience engagement, and identify and improve content on an ongoing basis
Assist in the creation (e.g., copywriting, design, and publishing) of marketing materials (e.g., digital ads, brochures, press releases, email blasts, and other materials as needed)
Coordinate and manage job board contracts – profiles, job post copy development, contract renewals, payment, performance reports, and basic troubleshooting for internal clients
Produce and analyze regularly scheduled reports from Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and other backend databases to identify and improve overall marketing approach
Design marketing and promotional items using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Canva
Develop and maintain department spreadsheets, databases, and promotional item inventory
Assist with the execution of internal programs and employee engagement activities as it relates to signage, brand, and giveaways.
Coordinate media requests and follow up, serving as the secondary media contact as needed
Address and resolve any problems that may occur with promotional content or distribution of materials
Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion

Proven ability to handle multiple projects, manage priorities and workflow, and meet deadlines
Ability to conduct analysis on marketing strategies and success

Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
