Job Description

 We have an agency client that specializes in brand development and design consultancy. While supporting their team you are part of a group that is humble, hungry, and smart. You want to make a difference. You love to collaborate and you take ownership to ensure your clients receive a 5 star customer experience. They currently need a Brand Strategist to come in and support a few clients on an on-going temp basis. Approx 20 hours a week to start and could ramp up to full-time hours too, prefer someone that is local to work on-site but they are flexible with remote work too for the right candidate. This Brand Strategist will have agency experience and 5+ years experience. 

Reports to Direct: COO and Indirect: CEO, VP Brand Development
The Ideal Candidate:
As a Brand Strategist, you balance creative, analytical, and strategic thinking in one
complete package. In your role, you imagine a better world for your client and their
customers as you work at the very top of the brand funnel to build a brands mission,
vision and values that will drive growth and connection. Your strategies will solve
complex business challenges. They will uncover the beliefs that will make the world a
better place. They will identify who the hero is and the problem your brands will solve.
They will create new ways to connect to the heart. You deliver everything with a level of
trust. You work in partnership with the VP of Brand Development, Brand Account
Manager and creative partners to develop disruptive thinking.
- Pinpoint and solve sophisticated business issues
- Develop brand strategies including vision statements, purpose statements, values,
brand tone of voice
- Develop unique and inspiring brand stories that are strategically disruptive
- Develop brand and product architecture strategies
- Develop audience segmentation strategies and develop personas
- Generate insights based on core human truths
- Become the brand expert understanding the category, business, and competitive
- Conduct data analysis, audience research, stakeholder interviews, workshop
sessions to develop well-informed strategic plans for clients
- Keep abreast of emerging behaviors, cultural/social trends, and technologies that
are changing our client’s businesses
- Develop and lead presentations to senior staff members and clients
- Liaising with senior members of staff and clients to receive feedback and create
improvements to strategies
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7+ years of brand strategy at top tier agencies
- Stellar creative and strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to translate
insights into successful initiatives
- Organized, detail and process-oriented with an ability to relentlessly follow-up in
a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A learner – always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around
- You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication and always thinking
about how to help the teammates around you excel
