Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION/DELIVERABLES:

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Senior Graphic Designer is a key member of our in-house design team, working collaboratively with team members to translate complex customer requirements into simple and elegant design products, and craft the overarching look and feel of all client deliverables. This position involves project coordination and oversight, requiring a management approach that is both responsive and adaptive to support a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Senior Graphic Designers work with delivery teams and external clients to define visual design requirements and proactively consult on potential solutions.
As a result of producing exceptional work products and developing relationships, the Senior Graphic Designer can help capture new leads and business opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 Design a full range of print and digital collateral, including, but not limited to: infographics and data visualization, presentations, one-pagers, and documents (including animated interactive PDFs), and print marketing materials
 Work with consultants and clients to develop conceptual designs, supporting an overall messaging strategy
 Transform concepts and words into clear approaches and visual outputs
 Productize assets for consultant and client use, to include document and presentation templates, graphic templates, and visual resource libraries
 Support entire corporate structure (client delivery, internal functions, marketing, and business development)
 Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
 Orchestrate projects, working with consultants and team members to define scope, build out schedules, delegate tasks, monitor progress and ensure quality control
 Raise and enforce standards for quality, professionalism, and creativity within and outside of the team
 Foster a positive and productive work environment
 Prioritize graphic projects when conflicting timelines arise
 Maintain and increase client delight through tailored customer service, responsive communications, quick turn-arounds

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Manage labor distribution and define levels of efforts based on budget constraints and strategic objectives
 Train and mentor creative team members on design fundamentals and software
 Raise and enforce standards for quality, professionalism, and creativity within and outside of the team
 Assist in the administration, as well as the development, of team processes and best practices
 Foster a positive and productive work environment
 Prioritize graphic projects when conflicting timelines arise
 Increase client delight through tailored customer service, responsive communications, quick turn-arounds

TOOLS/MUST HAVES:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
 Bachelor's Degree in related field (graphic design, computer graphics, and/or information graphics)
 8-10 years of relevant experience
 Thorough knowledge of visual design principles including: graphic design, layout, typography, color, and corporate identity
 High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
 High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint)
 Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
 Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team focused environment
 Ability to manage multiple projects all at once, with competing deadlines
 Can provide rapid response to continuously shifting demands
 Can clearly articulate and present creative ideas and reasoning using strong written and verbal communication skills
 Strong attention to detail
 Must be able to receive and respond to feedback and creative direction from internal peers and external clients with the intent of improving upon his/her work
 Must be highly organized, self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and willing to take accountability for project outcomes
 Willingness to teach others, with a goal of building internal design capacity
 The drive to learn and teach new design tools/techniques as technology changes
 A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
