Our client is looking for a copywriter to develop and lead all consumer facing copy and customer (retailer) facing copy (e.g. sales presentations). This role will report into a senior creative director and will work on packaging, advertising, digital, presentations, and displays. The ideal candidate will have strong digital samples in their portfolio, including Facebook and Instagram.
Write and edit all consumer-facing copy for current brands and potential future brands, including product descriptions, product naming, packaging copy, web copy, in-store display copy, print and digital ad copy, sales presentations, instruction booklets
Work directly with product managers and senior leadership to develop a robust understanding of each category and product to thoroughly communicate emotional and functional promises to consumers
Work in tandem with the team's art director and social media strategist to create breakthrough copy and advertising for social media, in-store events, ad campaigns, etc.
Ensure all copy is consistent and adheres to legal and stylistic standards
Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, English, Communications, or related field
5+ years of experience in copywriting and editing with a strong portfolio
Experience with AP Style or similar style standards
Equally comfortable with big-picture creative concepting and detail-oriented writing & editing
Experience in writing for consumer brands
Experience with basic, preliminary trademark searches
Experience with both print and digital media
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision
Experience delivering breakthrough copy in a tone that stands out and is distinctive for specific brands
