Job Description

Looking for an experienced and talented Multimedia Designer. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished visual designer and brand-builder with areas of working including: branding, graphics, interactive, animation/motion graphics, video shoots and editing. Be able to manage the workflow on creative projects to ensure timely production and communicate effectively with marketing professional stakeholders in internal business units.

** This is a 4 month temp to hire role. Onsite in Costa Mesa. MUST HAVE a portfolio showcasing video, animation/motion samples. 

Responsibilities:
• Produce creative, meaningful, and compelling visual narratives that connect current and prospective customers with products and solutions
• Create complex animated graphics and infographics, kinetic typography and video pre/post production
• Assist in all areas of video production including videography, lighting and audio recording.
• Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics
• Designing and creating storyboards
• Concept, layout and design enticing motion graphics videos for various media
• Collaborate with editors, producers and other designers to resolve technical or design issues

• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements (audio, video, colors, animation) to enhance video and motion graphics
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
• Maintain and follow best practices for version control, naming conventions and organization of graphic files
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest design and video techniques
• Meet with internal clients or the creative/art director to determine the scope of a project
• Present design concepts/storyboards to internal clients and at times senior level management
• Communicates expectations to management and parties responsible for the project
• Adjusts project workflow and schedules to facilitate priority projects
• Coordinates creative and production processes for marketing projects with outside vendors

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in design or film or a visual-arts-related field
• A minimum of 5 years of related interactive design and video experience
• Well-versed in video editing software: Final Cut, Premier Pro and After Effects
• Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop

• Ability to comprehend and visually communicate complex concepts
• Exceptionally strong knowledge of systemic problem solving and visual hierarchy
• Great storytelling and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction and thrive in a fast-paced
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple departments and all levels of management
• Creative thinker exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques
• In-depth knowledge/experience in animation and video production techniques
• Working knowledge of sound mixing and color correction
• Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the latest production technology
• Solid understanding of video formats and compression techniques
• Knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, allowing for effective legibility and functionality
• Manage the workflow on creative projects to ensure timely production
• Proficient in Mac and Windows platforms
