Job Description

AQUENT is seeking a Technical Project Manager to work with a client in the North Houston area. This candidate will be communicating program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders. Candidate will also be collaborating with management and internal partners to implement changes to program plans to resolve escalated issues, propose and produce solutions, and ensure adherence to schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively look for new and innovative ways to streamline and further automate processes.  
  • Coordinate and drive face-to-face customer workshops to lead project activities from pilot to ongoing support
  • Manage project schedule and timelines and obtain sign-off for each phase of the project
  • Ensure smooth transition from pilot phase to ongoing support and execution phase of each customer engagement
  • Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external stakeholders; tracks progress against established plan and report on project progress to upper management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team as required.
  • Demonstrate passion for customers and partners 

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent preferred.
  • 4-6 years of Project Management or Program Management experience in the IT industry

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Adept at negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Highly organized and familiar with tools such as Microsoft Teams, Visio, Office, etc.
  • Able to quickly adapt to a fast paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to create and manage program schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities
  • Experienced in managing customer relationships
  • Able to work both independently with little direction as well as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Azure Active Directory or Intune a plus.

Certifications / Credentials: 

  • ITIL Certification preferred, strong understanding of ITIL tools, processes and terminology a plus
  • Additional technology (hardware, EMM software, OS) certifications a strong plus
  • PMP Certification a plus
