Our client in Simi Valley is seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will connect with fans across multiple social media platforms, interacting with fans and demonstrate their brand's commitment to being engaged with customers. This role requires a proven, creative and passionate social media marketer who will oversee multiple social media channels.
Responsible for creating and implementing social publishing best practices with engagement benchmarks for all social channels.
Assist with social content planning, programming, publishing, tagging, and editorial calendar.
Point person for gathering and posting answers and comments to fan. Also, take advantage of positive comments and opportunities to promote our brand.
Develop new ways to foster community through real time 1-1 engagement.
Monitor and take necessary actions against spam, potential brand threating content to promote and ensure accurate representation where possible on our social and digital spaces.
Monitor emerging sites and communication channels; recommend new initiatives based on these observations and points of knowledge. Create new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and build our audience.
Provide ongoing reporting to track fan sentiment and the impact of day-to-day community management.
Manage and maintain long-term archive to document all critical fan interactions and value.
Creating social posts, responding to posts. Helping organize events. Creating email invites, email marketing. Reaching out to potential sponsors and all aspects using social media.
Proofreading and writing copy for social posts.
Research and follow Influencers producing quality content for reposting.
Knowledgeable and passionate for social media, online communities and digital content.
Familiar in creative skills such as photography, copy writing, video editing (photo shop a plus!).
Outstanding written communications skills and detail-oriented.
Interest in and adaptable to technology and technology-based tools and applications.
Innovative mindset: someone who looks for new opportunities, generates new ideas, and is able to “find” or develop stories.
Positive, ‘can-do,’ self-starter attitude. Able to initiate projects and hunt down information. Ability to work without a lot of direction.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college, university or art school is desired, or equivalent work experience will be considered.
1-2 years of experience within marketing/social media
Copywriting experience preferred
Graphic Design experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator
Knowledge of Photo-editing using Lightroom
Working Knowledge of current trends in social media
Strong practitioner level knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat
Proficiency in using social media scheduling tools like Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, and Buffer
Basic understanding of file and asset management
Talent for writing engaging social media posts and headlines
Mac and PC proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Understanding of beauty, skincare and/or natural market a plus.
