Job Description

The SEO Content Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of SEO content from initial request through to delivery. This role requires an aptitude / understanding of various content creation processes, such as article development for blog and online resource centers, and production of digital assets. Day to day requirements will include implementing and maintaining the content development process, organizing and prioritizing requests, managing writer resources, developing timelines and schedules within the project management tools, coordination with the marketing department’s creative studio, and daily/reporting weekly on the status of all projects in the pipeline. This is a mid-level position, and excellent opportunity to become part of an effective and influential team! 

You have a high degree of interest in content development and SEO, have project management skills, and love digging into data and creating meaningful reports that raise awareness amongst the team. You are a quick learner, a self starter, a great communicator and focus on being a problem solver. This position reports to the Director of Creative Operations.

Responsibilities and tasks
●  Manage project cadence in order to deliver projects on schedule
●  Receive project requests and make resource assignment recommendations per project type, always being prepared to adjust and re-prioritize daily
●  Maintain project status within project management software
●  Create daily/weekly reports for cross functional teams
●  Manage projects from request through to delivery, including scheduling and attending creative reviews
●  Work closely with all team members in order to forecast resourcing needs, alerting the team in advance of potential issues
●  Oversee daily project flow, ensuring all partners are informed and a part of the process
●  Cultivate an understanding of general compliance regulations in order to benefit SEO team, writers and editors
●  Maintain a level of brand stewardship
●  Work with sr. team members and managers to maintain or evolve process-related needs of each group in the department; analyze causes of problems; research possible solutions; and make recommendations

●  Track schedules for all projects; adjust schedules and maintain channel members’ expectations as necessary
●  Manage asset organization and archiving

Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications
●  2+ years experience working with SEO or digital content teams, specifically in the project management function
●  Hold a deep desire for results in increased traffic, search rankings and conversion
●  Highly organized, analytical problem solver
●  Ability to track and forecast potential resourcing requirements
●  Tech and software savvy (picks up new software skills quickly)
●  Ability to work quickly and decisively
●  Flexible, and possess the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
●  Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills
●  Ability to understand interdepartmental structure and dynamics and use diplomacy to balance competing project requests
●  Understanding of creative studio processes
●  Experience in asset management
●  Proficiency Workfront (and other project management tools) are pluses
●  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
