Job Description

SUMMARY:

Our financial services client is looking for a Marketing Specialist for their Private Wealth Management team. This person will have a great deal of collaboration with Financial Advisors and needs to have a minimum of five years experience in marketing in the financial services and/or professional services industry.​ The ideal candidate must be able to be consultative with strong-minded individuals and have tough conversations, and a background with tactical projects as well as implementating marketing plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Wealth Center associates to direct, advance, and provide ongoing guidance to Financial Advisors for development of their marketing plan and implementation of marketing strategies and programs to grow their business
  • Receive inbound calls from Financial Advisors and collaborate with them on an average of 10-15 projects per month (ex: brochures/announcement cards/social)
  • Help Financial Advisors with strategic and content support for leveraging web sites and social media platforms to promote their business
  • Apply the guidelines of the Marketing & Communications' Service Model, prepare and review flyers, emails, capabilities presentations, brochures, and advertisements to support the marketing and promotional activities of the Financial Advisors
  • Identify and develop new Financial Advisor marketing tools as well as manage and update tools as neededbased on Financial Advisor needs, usage and feedback
  • Consult with and provide marketing support for new Financial Advisors 
  • Lead and manage other strategic projects and initiatives for the PWM business as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications field
  • 5+ plus years of marketing and communications experience in a consultative role; securities industry license (Series 66, 7) beneficial
  • Previous experience working with field sales representatives, clients, and/or Financial Advisors on marketing support is a plus
  • Ability to handle objections from the Field diplomatically, while maintaining positive field relations and implementing corporate marketing strategies
  • Excellent marketing program development and strong project management skills are a must
  • Strong written and oral communications skills including ability to handle objections and negotiate diplomatically
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and with employees at all levels/areas of the firm
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations
