Job Description

We're looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to help manage email and direct marketing channels for Company's suite of SaaS-based web and mobile app products.  In this role, you'll partner closely with the Marketing Automation Manager and the Segment Marketing Teams to create and execute campaigns that support customer acquisition, conversion, and retention goals. You will also have the opportunity to create and develop emails for the different products. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy marketer who loves design, marketing systems, and analytics and who can leverage those skills to deploy cutting-edge marketing programs that delight customers and accelerate business objectives.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop & execute marketing automation campaigns in Eloqua (single/batch deployments and advanced nurture programs)
  • Help create and modify HTML/CSS for email content 
  • Optimize Eloqua implementations by gathering requirements across the lifecycle, planning and programming campaign logic, mapping and augmenting data, and setting up lead scoring or propensity models 
  • Continuously test and maintain campaigns in Eloqua as programs grow and evolve
  • Support testing and program implementation across additional marketing automation platforms, as required (e.g. mobile push notifications, in-product marketing)
  • Participate in journey mapping to create best-in-class E2E customer experiences
  • Provide input on customer segmentation 
  • Partner closely with internal and external cross-functional teams (e.g. Segment Marketers, Data Ops, Analytics, Content & Design) to strategize and execute marketing automation campaigns, as well as to optimize and analyze campaign results
  • Help define marketing automation/email metrics and dashboards to enable marketing to assess results against KPIs and channel/program effectiveness
  • Build and ensure on-time detailed program schedules - including managing stakeholder expectations and communicating out project timelines
  • Manage pre- and post- deployment testing and QA 
  • Build and document processes for delivering and optimizing effective campaigns & programs; partner with Design to translate marketing requirements into email functionality, as required 
  • Maintain strong knowledge of marketing automation, lifecycle, and email marketing best practices and trends


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience with CRM or marketing automation 
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with marketing automation tools (preferably Eloqua) for SaaS, apps or similar online or eCommerce services or products
  • Subject matter expert in email best practices, deployment, subject line testing and send-time optimization 
  • Proficiency with templating languages to implement dynamic content in emails 
  • General understanding of relational databases 
  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for email design
  • Knowledge of, SiteCatalyst, and Tableau (or similar tools) is a plus   
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice-versa 
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; able to work independently and cross-functionally in highly matrixed organization
