Job Description

A client in NYC is looking for a Paid Media Strategist for an ongoing freelance assignment


- Looking for a candidate who has agency side experience, someone who has worked on multiple brands at once. Able to jump from brand to brand

- Someone who can work across different departments and take the lead on things

- This candidate will be mentoring a coordinator who is currently managing smaller budget brands

- Ths candidate will have to understand the brand voice and work with the data analyst team to look at data and determine how campaigns are performing 

- This candidate will need to understand how Facebook and Instagram work. What are the behaviors and what kind of people are consuming the content on each?

​- This candidate will need to have digital/ social experience

- Looking for someone who has the knowledge to know what they should post on each platform. For LinkedIn, you would feature different content than on Instagram and Facebook

​- Want this person to be genuinely invested in elevating the brands

- Looking for someone to oversee creative development of cross-platform paid media campaigns to drive subscription/revenue growth for key brands, including The New Yorker, Allure Beauty Box, WIRED, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, among others. The position sits on the Strategic Marketing & Partnerships team—a results-driven, forward-thinking team that is responsible for delivering business results and elevating our marketing through data-driven and innovative creative strategies. This opportunity is best suited for someone who lives at the intersection of creative, social, content, media and analytics and thrives in a fast-paced environment. 

• Lead creative development and implementation across Paid channels including Social, Programmatic, Podcasts, Content Marketing, and new channels 
• Analyze paid social performance and use data-based insights to develop creative content strategies 
• Creative thought-leadership and fluency in each brands’ unique tone and aesthetic and value proposition to develop impactful and on-brand campaigns 
• Oversee creative production from start to finish including kick-off, submission of requests, routing of assets for approvals, delivery, review/QA, and launch 
• Liaise with internal brand teams and external agencies in relation to creative recommendations, testing roadmaps, and optimizations 
• Partner with a Coordinator and mentor 

• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in a digital environment with understanding of social and digital platforms (agency experience preferred) 
• Proven ability leading and managing marketing programs that generate results 
• Strong leadership and relationship skills across multiple cross-functional partners 
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into stories and action plans 
• Have a passion for digital media, creativity, and audience-first thinking 
• High attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to stay organized, hit deadlines, and work under pressure 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external partners 
• Bachelor’s Degree required
