Job Description

E-commerce company in SF is looking for a Sr. UX/UI Designer (with motion experience) for full-time/onsite assignment, lasting 3 months. Good chance for extension/conversion after initial 3 months. This includes working on a team of 9 individuals across multiple locations. Motion experience is required (Principle or After Effects).

The motion element of this role will be creating motion/animation for mostly app experiences – think movement within an experience. An example here would be when you open an app for the first time and there is an onboarding experience that uses motion to showcase key features or explain benefits or areas to explore within the app.



 A strong portfolio that demonstrates not only your designs, but tells the story of how you were integral to the overall design process
 Working knowledge of UX/UI design for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
 Efficiency with design and prototyping software, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch/InVision/Zeplin, After Effects, Principle, Framer X
 Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript.
 Ability to visualize concepts, demonstrated skill and experience creating flow diagrams, wireframes, mock-ups/prototypes
 A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
 The ability to lead and mentor talented UX designers to create great experiences for our customers
 Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
 Strong sense of urgency and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
 Experience working in an Agile environment



 Works to identify design needs, define requirements, assist in design planning, activities and execution
 Provides user experience design expertise
 Brings design aesthetic to bear in creating the best user experience throughout each project
 Uses highly developed visual design skills to envision and create beautiful experiences
 Delivers models, information architecture, flows, wireframes, low and high-fidelity prototypes, and other design deliverables including animation and clickable prototypes
 Presents and defends all design decisions, that are based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
 Keeps abreast of the latest changes in industry standards and shares those changes with the rest of the team
