Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of digital marketing client accounts. He/she is the primary point of contact for these clients and leads web initiatives and digital communication campaigns to achieve client goals. Much of the job relies on forging strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients and conveying confidence and expertise in the digital space. 

PLANNING & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT 
The Digital Account Manager should have a solid understanding of the assigned Clients’ overall planning and digital activities including: 
 Having a strong command of the Client’s business (products, services, offerings, metrics, etc.). 
 Understanding of where the brand stands in the market and a grasp of the competitive landscape. 
 Coordinating all cross-department communication and efforts on behalf of the Client. 

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT 
The Digital Account Manager develops strong working rapport with Clients, supervisor(s) and all other internal Agency team members. 
 Develop and cultivate strong, trusted, respected relationships with client contacts and internal team members. 
 Help foster a positive internal team environment and overall Client/Agency relationship. 

DIGITAL ACUMEN 
The Digital Account Manager should have experience managing a variety of digital efforts on behalf of their client, including but not limited to: websites, landing pages, email campaigns, CRM initiatives, app development, digital media campaigns. The Digital Account Manager should be comfortable in the space and have first-hand experience managing and executing similar type programs. He/she needs to be able to lead conversations with clients, respond to specific requests, and identify the resources needed internally to be able to fulfill the Client’s objectives. 

SET DIGITAL STRATEGIES 
Digital Account Managers spend much of their time collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement digital marketing and advertising strategies that align with the client’s requirements and maximize their return on investment (ROI). Their role requires them to stay informed on the latest developments from a digital marketing perspective and be in contact with clients to explain strategy and plan for the future. He/she will take a lead role in running Context Sessions with clients, developing proposals, and collaborating with Experience Strategy on creation and presenting recommendations.  

Overall project management expectations: 
 Be a clear, concise communicator to minimize misunderstandings and to represent the Agency and the Agency’s thinking/perspective accurately and professionally. 
 Anticipate potential Client issues and bring to supervisor’s attention. 
 As necessary, manage daily job flow process (creative, media, talent, other) with internal team, vendors and Clients in a timely and efficient manner. 
 Ensure adherence to established Agency process including proper development and use of: 
o Job orders, change orders, project alerts 
o Creative Briefs 
o Meeting Agendas 
o Client Meeting Reports (develop/distribute within two business days from meeting date) 
o Regular Client Status Reports, as necessary 
 Partners well with assigned Project Manager throughout course of project and ensures clear lines of communication and roles are defined and maintained throughout course of project. 
 Maintain strong command of project status; be knowledgeable at all times about status of all projects on assigned accounts. Lead regular Client all-project status meetings. 
 Earn supervisor(s) trust. Work to handle daily job flow with as little oversight as possible. Manage up: Keep supervisor(s) informed as appropriate. 
 Provide timely, clear and accurate direction to team members. 
 Demonstrate solid organization skills. 
 Thoroughly review and proof all aspects of the agency’s “product” prior to client presentation (plans, creative concepts, developed sites, ad, results reports, etc.) to ensure it is accurate and addresses requirements. 
Digital Project Management expectations: 
 Participates in weekly Technology resource planning meetings, necessary 
 Participates in project meetings, as needed 
 Works closely with Digital Strategy & Technology leads throughout project 
 As needed, develop and manage project plans, timelines, estimates, and statements of works 
 Obtains approval of Digital Strategy & Technology lead on all of the above 
 Provide a strong understanding of details of the project to accurately report project status dependencies, risks, and daily development activities 
 Identifies and communicates changes in scope and impacts to budget and timing to SVP, Digital Strategy & Technology 
 When a PM is not assigned, manages end-to-end development process 
 Responsible for ensuring final product meets defined requirements 
 When a PM is not assigned, releases final online advertising files to Media 
 Maintains comprehensive documentation and archives for project
