Job Description

The role of the UX Architect is to balance art and science, and apply craftsmanship, artistry, and storytelling to strategic insight. The UX Architect is a master of content strategy, CRO, user experience, and process engineering. From brief to functional prototype, the UX Architect can partner with a multidisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders, strategists, marketers, technologists, and creatives to concept and deliver best-in-class, fresh products and experiences that delight customers, drive bottom line results, and elevate the brand. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

  • Implement a combination of strategic, analytical, conceptual and user experience skills 
  • Embrace challenges and new ways of thinking; has adopted ‘design thinking’ in his or her practice 
  • Wireframe and prototype original, useful, conceptually compelling cross-channel experiences for both existing products, and those that have yet to be conceptualized 
  • Work cross-functionally with various internal teams, external agencies, and partners 
  • Proactively research and pursue ideas that represent the evolved, connected customer and landscape 
  • Demonstrate excellence in mobile-first responsive web and mobile app user experience 
  • Demonstrate mastery of the latest IA and UX tools 
  • Develop Information Architecture and ‘design thinking’ best practices to be institutionalized across the organization 


WHAT'S REQUIRED: 

  • 5+ years as an Information Architect. 
  • Compelling portfolio of mobile-first responsive web and mobile app wireframes for real-world clients. 
  • Excellence in developing user stories and journeys, lo-fi annotated wireframes, and functional prototypes across devices and contexts. 
  • Proficiency in Omnigraffle, Sketch, and HCI principles, and prototyping tools including InVision, Proto.io, and MarvelApp. 
  • Basic knowledge of front- and back-end programming dynamics. 
  • Familiar with Agile and Sprint working methodologies. 
  • Familiar with Google Analytics. 
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail 
  • A forward-thinking mindset that drives you to help us create the future 
  • Positive attitude and ability to receive feedback constructively 
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and agencies 
  • Must live near Carlsbad, CA and have reliable transportation (note that this is an in-office position and telecommuting is not available) 
  • Must be punctual, responsible, dependable, honest, and work well with others to obtain common goals 
  • Organized self-starter who can follow instructions and work independently with little direct supervision. 
  • Understanding of Service Design principles and methods a plus. Agency experience a plus.
