Our client in the financial industry is lookin for a new Senior Writer who will work within the Creative team in Marketing to develop effective communications. He/she must have deep knowledge of the financial industry and investment products and be able to translate complex financial concepts into clear and concise communications. Responsibilities include writing in a variety of formats, such as web postings, editorial columns, brochures, topical papers, and video scripts for a diverse client base of investment professionals and their clients.

Relevant Years of Experience:
Minimum 10 years of writing experience, preferably in the financial industry. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Work collaboratively with Creative, Corporate Communications, Client Marketing, investment teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to develop content that conveys our client's vision and voice and demonstrates our positioning relative to competitors.
Work collaboratively with the marketing team, business leaders, and subject matter experts on the best way to describe and position our client's offerings in a way that clearly highlights benefits to the audience. This can take various formats, including web articles, presentation books, brochures, essays, videos, etc.
Write clear, persuasive, original copy that ranges from technical pieces for investment professionals to educational pieces that explain our approach to a broad, public audience.
Work collaboratively with Design so that copy and design work together to communicate subject matter in a clear and engaging way.
Work closely with the Design teams to create data visualizations that convey the intended meaning effectively and accurately.
Help shape and reinforce a unique editorial voice that conveys our client's beliefs, in language that is intelligent, but accessible and is tailored to each audience.
Synthesize and edit existing content from subject matter experts.
Ensure the accuracy and relevance of language and data.
Support quick-turnaround communications when market conditions warrant.
Work on several projects at once, under pressure, and tight deadlines.
Keep up to date with product offerings and industry news.
Superb writing skills, including mastery of mechanics, grammar, and usage
Deep knowledge of the financial industry, especially investing and mutual fund industry
Ability to write succinct, effective copy for various audiences
Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear prose
Understanding of how to write compliant investment content

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, advertising or a related field. MBA or CFA a plus.
