Job Description


We are hiring an Account Manager to work in-house for a nationwide company that has been around for 100+ years. This position is located at their headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI, but will work with community partners across the country and lead initiatives internally, partnering with the creative team and sales.


  • Partner with the Director of Multimedia in leading in-house advertising and marketing communications
  • Manage internal client relationships, project scheduling and prioritizing work within the agency and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Plan and manage budgets, vendor relationships, vendor billing and internal client billings
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to plan marketing strategies
  • Foster and manage internal client relationships
  • Track, manage and schedule all client deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Create and manage project budgets, create client quotations, purchases orders and invoices
  • Manage vendor relationships and preferred vendor lists, manage and implement a procurement process and bid process
  • Manage agency accounts to track payables and receivables, working with the accounting department
  • Meet with the owner, attend company planning meetings, create and publish a weekly agency status report


  • 4-year degree in related field
  • 3+ years of account management or project management experience (agency + client-side experience ideal)
  • Certification in project management preferred
  • Proactive self-starter who understands business - knowledge of budgeting, procurement and project management processes
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance metrics
  • Skilled at adapting interpersonal skills when interacting with a variety of audiences
  • Understanding of digital and traditional marketing strategies and implementation/production methods
  • Required to travel 10% of the time (sometimes a little less, or a little more)
