Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director, Marketing and the Assistant Director, Digital Technology and Strategy leads the digital team and is responsible for strategic and technology infrastructure direction, digital platforms, website and helping solve complex business and marketing problems using digital technologies. The Assistant Director, Digital Technology and Strategy manages the revenue generating technology platforms for direct to consumer and business to business operations and creates and executes a digital marketing strategy with the goal of leveraging our mission and presence in the digital environment The Assistant Director, Digital Technology and Strategy contributes to the strategic plan for the Conferences. He/she demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to our mission and to fulfill job duties in accordance with our identity. 

Continuing Responsibilities: (List from highest to lowest priority.) 
• Provides day to day project management and leads a team of vendors and direct reports in delivery of CRM, digital marketing and e-commerce capabilities. 
• Maintains oversight of the revenue generating technology infrastructure including operational efficiencies, functionality, data flows, logistics and reporting. 
• Seeks to understand customer behaviors and needs from a marketing and analytics perspective and evaluates platforms accordingly. 
• Oversees the company website.
• Identifies and stays current with technology infrastructure and their influence and impact on marketing trends Drives and facilitates the right discussions that identify business solutions in relation to current and future technology landscape and governs the integration of all solutions and their integration patterns 
• Researches new technologies to optimize current solutions and to make them sustainable for the future, applying in-house standards and market best practices. Leads digital strategy engagements with a strong focus on analytics, user experiences and influencer engagement. 
• Collaborates with the Assistant Director, Marketing to optimize platforms and create a seamless and integrated marketing strategy for the Communications department. 
• Creates, activates and maintains ongoing data analytics dashboards, tracking and analyzing results to yield insights required to understand success of and guide marketing efforts. 
• Develops and utilizes analytics reports, market research, and social listening tools to optimize marketing efforts and improve ROI. 
• Hands on with the execution and deployment of digital marketing campaigns including A/B testing, tracking to ensure clear and concise attribution analytics and reporting 
• Develops and manages the implementation of Google Adword campaigns and SEO and SEM strategies 
• Works cross-functionally with all members of the Department of Communications team to identify key strategic challenges and business, marketing and digital needs to be addressed. 
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Experience working with and guiding the technology infrastructure and integration of digital platforms and managing the digital distribution, marketing and analytics of direct to consumer and business to business products and services. 
• Effective management, leadership and organizational skills with ability to influence a collaborative team environment and deliver results. 
• Proven track record in developing digital, mobile, website, e-commerce strategic plans that meet customer and business needs. 
• Experience participating from a strategic perspective from development through implementation. 
• The ability to strategize an engaging digital experience, utilizing multiple platforms. 
• Experience managing web application and software development staff and consultants. 
• Experience with data analytics, business intelligence or other quantitative/analytical function. 
Number of Years Required: 5-7 years of related experience
