Job Description

Our Financial Services client is looking for a a talented Senior UX/UI Designer

Duration: 5 months (contract)

Onsite in McLean, VA

Compensation: Top Notch!!!


As a UI/UX Designer with their team, you would: 

Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. 

Know how to apply traditional design philosophies, user research, and customer insights to inform our features and interfaces. 

Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders. 

Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback. 

Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables), and illustrate design ideas using such items as using storyboards, process flows, sitemaps, or others as appropriate. 

Develop UI wireframes, mockups and/or prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites look and function. 

Design graphic user interface elements and navigation components, like menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation buttons, search fields, and more, in accordance with established style guides and branding guidelines. 

Identify and troubleshoot UX problems. 

What you bring: 

Experience and a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web applications, along with responsive design and/or mobile apps. 

Attention to detail when documenting design standards and guidelines. 

The ability to collaborate closely with our Product Management and Engineering Teams 

Experience participating in all aspects of the design process to understand the user journey, frame problems, define insights, and create compelling visions. 

The ability to handle multiple designs simultaneously, with minimal supervision. 

Experience presenting and selling design concepts to peers, management, and executive stakeholders. 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree 

At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX Design 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, or equivalent. 

5+ years of experience with both User Experience and User Interface design for digital products 

Proficiency with standard digital design software and wireframe tools (like Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC, InVision, Balsamiq, Axure, etc) 

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, SCSS and/or Github
