Job Description

Vitamin T is currently in search of a Copywriter for our client in Metro Detroit. This is a long term role!

Responsible for creating dynamic copy for a variety of marketing and training deliverables for a luxury automotive client, including articles for a high-end internal magazine.

• Meetings & Events: End-to-end planning and delivery of meetings, events and conferences 
• Incentives & Recognition: Programs designed to motivate employees and channel partners 
• Training & Performance Improvement: Design and delivery of training and learning support 
• Communications: Creative and content development in any media 
• Data Management & Analytics: Handling and interpretation of data to inform strategy 
• Strategic Planning: Development of business, communications and product launch plans 

• Develop a working knowledge of client’s communication standards and style to ensure consistency 
• Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s products and strategic direction, to ensure messaging is aligned 
• Must be able to take creative briefs, outlines, white papers – along with independent research – to write compelling and effective copy 
• Be able to distill technical and (automotive) product information into simpler language with emphasis on the customer benefit 
• Work closely with creative leadership team – CD/ACD/Managing Editor – on story content, tone, emphasis 
• Collaborate with designer on layouts (hierarchy/emphasis of information) 
• Support work with consumer insights and rationale 
• Build strong credibility and good working relationships with clients 
• Work to develop fresh, innovative, compelling work that exceeds internal and client expectations 
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other writers when needed 

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field 
• 7+ years of experience in agency or design firm (or strong in-house experience) 
• Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading skills 
• Portfolio demonstrating strong creative copywriting concepts and execution 
• Should have experience writing for print and online 
• Range of client experiences (strong knowledge of automotive, luxury preferred) 
• Outstanding, proven conceptual abilities and original thinking 
• Present persuasively to clients with excellent client facing skills 
• Self-directed, responsible, able to meet deadlines 
• Ability to multi-task and work on more than one project
