Job Description

Creative Packaging Project Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Creative Packaging Project Manager to join our dynamic, fast-paced team in San Francisco.

The Creative Packaging Project Manager will ensure that packaging and print projects are executed according to best practices and tracked throughout the organization. He/she aids the Director of Creative Services in establishing timelines and processes to ensure efficient workflow for the Creative Team. He/she acts as the liaison between the Creative department and all internal cross-functional teams by communicating key dates, keeping all involved parties up to date on the project status and noting and escalating delays, when necessary.

Each day is different with new problems to solve and tasks to tackle, but here is an idea of some of the things you will work on:

  • Support Director of Creative Services in managing all aspects of packaging/print creative development, including timeline creation, implementation, hands-on day-to-day packaging project management
  • Aiding in communication flow within the Creative team by acting as the primary point of contact and support

  • Assessing, prioritizing and allocating resources based on timing, scope, budgets, and requirements

  • Ensuring project briefs are fully complete with cross-channel stakeholders and PD before commencement of work

  • Becoming an expert at the brand’s packaging guidelines and ensuring all designs adhere to these standards

  • Providing internal routing and approvals, proofing, production file releases to vendors, and other project management duties

  • Overseeing Creative department packaging file maintenance and adherence of BOX and DAM systems and serving as secondary, point of contact for DAM System Administrator

  • Partnering with Product Development, or other channel leads, or working directly with external vendors to quote out and help manage production of print projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 2- 4 years of professional work experience as a Packaging Project Manager, Creative Project Manager or Print/Packaging Producer at an agency or a consumer packaged goods, in-house creative team
  • Experience in managing print production
  • Works well with Mac-based applications
  • Comfortable with Smartsheets, Basecamp, or other project management software as project management tools

Extra Credit:

  • Experience in beauty
  • Experience in managing digital production, photography and video
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Japanese
  • Familiarity with Adobe CS6
