Job Description

Are you a post production support professional who is calm headed and adept at firefighting issues?

Are you an expert in ensuring the right technical resource is maintained for creative production teams?

Do you enjoy keeping a keen eye on emerging production technologies & would love to have the opportunity to go to events to learn more about new tools on the market?

Our client is looking for a support engineer to ensure consistent technical resource for their post production department.  Their production and post production facilities include 20 workstations, 4 finishing suites, an MCR & VO Booth.

  • Production and post production consolation - recommending the best equipment and ensuring a manageable workflow
  • 2nd line technical support for all areas of the production and post production department; escalating and coordinating with 3rd line support if necessary
  • Contributing to the long term strategy of the production and post production environments
  • Research and development of emerging technologies and advise on new solutions for developing the department
  • Liaising with head of IT for all hardware and software upgrades & consulting on emerging technologies by developing cost/benefit analysis for spending and initiatives
  • Managing the MCR, ensuing all incoming and outgoing work is of a high standard and offer support during busy times
  • A flexible attitude towards the occasional out of hours and on location support

Essential skills;

  • Apple Mac OS X/Server & experience working in Apple environments
  • A great communicator
  • Knowledge of video and audio standards and systems
  • Enterprise port production management / engineering experience
  • Pro Application technical knowledge of Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Cinema 4d, Autodesk Flame
  • Open & approaching with an adaptable attitude who is able to manage hugely busy hubs of activity

Advantageous skills but not deal breakers;

  • An interest/ knowledge in cameras
  • Understanding/ Administration of Farmer’s Wife Scheduling system preferred but not essential
  • Experience using cloud based systems would be a huge bonus
