Job Description

Booming North County client is looking for a Lead User Experience Designer to join their team. This is an amazing full-time, direct-hire opportunity that includes a great compensation and benefits package!

This Lead User Experience Designer will apply craftsmanship, artistry, and storytelling to strategic insight.  From brief to functional prototype, the Lead UX Designer can partner with a multidisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders, strategists, marketers, technologists, and creatives to conceptualize and deliver best-in-class, fresh products and experiences that delight customers, drive bottom-line results, and elevate the brand. 

What You'll Do:

  • Implement a combination of strategic, analytical, conceptual, and user experience skills
  • Embrace challenges and new ways of thinking; adopt "design thinking" into practice
  • Wireframe and prototype original, useful, conceptually compelling cross-channel experiences for both existing products, and those that have yet to be conceptualized
  • Work cross-functionally with various internal teams, external agencies, and partners
  • Proactively research and pursue ideas that represent the evolved, connected customer and landscape
  • Demonstrate excellence in mobile-first responsive web and mobile app user experience design
  • Demonstrate mastery of the latest UX tools
  • Develop UX and "design thinking" best practices to be implemented across the organization

What is Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in User Experience Design
  • Compelling portfolio of mobile-first responsive web and mobile app experience for real-world clients
  • Excellence in developing user stories and journeys, lo-fi annotated wireframes, and functioning prototypes across devices and contexts
  • Proficiency in Omnigraffle, Sketch, and HCI principles, and prototyping tools including InVision, Proto.io, and MarvelApp
  • Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic knowledge of front and back-end programming dynamics
  • Familiar with Agile and Sprint working methodologies
  • Familiar with Google Analytics
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail

  • Positive attitude and ability to receive feedback constructively
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and agencies
  • Must be punctual, responsible, dependable, honest, and work well with others to obtain common goals
  • Organized self-starter who can follow instructions and work independently with little direct supervision
  • Understanding of Service Design principles and methods a plus
  • Agency experience a plus
