Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience with media and digital marketing and a willingness to rapidly ramp up on a new way of working. The Media Optimization Manager will drive continuous effectiveness and efficiency improvement and optimization across marketing and media channels that are core to the business strategies. You will be responsible for providing best in-class support to brand marketing teams and manage the media operations for precision marketing pilots and campaigns. You will define, design, and drive best-in-class execution of precision marketing campaigns that aligned with business goals and objectives communicated by brand leaders.

What you will do:

    • Identify media optimization opportunities from current pilot tests and on-going campaigns, and also collect and compile pilot ideas from agency and tech partners, matching to learning agenda where appropriate
    • Support brand teams in end-to-end orchestration of precision marketing campaigns, especially coordinating across agency, tech, and creative, to orchestrate precision marketing campaigns / pilots.
    • Liaise with creative team to ensure assets available
    • Work with internal and external partners to ensure proper campaign and pilot set-up, and audit campaign setup to ensure accuracy
    • Design and build test-and-learn pilot briefs to share with external partners for execution
    • Manage media plans and setup timelines with agency and tech partners
    • Work with internal and external partners to support ongoing optimization against key success KPIs and learning agenda, enforce reporting, and escalate issues as they arise
    • Maintain reporting standards across key external media partners to hold teams accountable to benchmarks
    • Catalog ongoing learnings as they arise to help establish internal benchmarks, playbooks to be leveraged across BUs and categories

Who You Are:

  • Strong communicator, able to work directly, frequently, with numerous teams to execute these tactics successfully against business goals, with ability to drive initiatives across multiple stakeholders to achieve goal
  • Strong project management skills (e.g., building & rigorously tracking work plan, meeting deadlines in an in-flux environment)
  • Calm and comfortable in ever-changing environment; results-driven with an ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment


You Also Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in marketing or business
  • 2-3 recent years in digital advertising / marketing, e.g.
    • Experience planning and/or executing programmatic campaigns within a BU
    • Experience with Media Planning and Buying, particularly in digital media channels
    • Role with a performance digital marketing agency (e.g., Labelium, Accuen, iCrossing, FullSix Data, 55)
    • Account management at Ad Tech companies e.g., FaceBook, DoubleClick, The Trade Desk, Media Math, AppNexus,  Criteo, Neustar)
    • Deep understanding of digital lead generation and brand building techniques using Search, Affiliate, Social, and Programmatic (e.g. Targeting, content and creatives for programmatic and Social, SEO and SEM)
    • Certification in or extensive hands-on experience with Direct experience with key Ad Tech platforms such as AdWords, Google Analytics, Demand Side Platforms (DSP), and Data Management Platforms (DMPs)
    • Experience translating strategic business objectives into consumer-centric engagement tactics and proving those out
    • Experience communicating technical material to range of audiences, including brands, corporate leadership, technology partners, and agencies
