Job Description

We're working on an awesome SEO Director opportunity at a dynamic and growing Digital Marketing agency in Houston.

Overall Purpose:
• Provide SEO thought leadership, innovation, process improvement initiatives to the firm and its clients
• Direct, participate in and report findings of comprehensive client Website Audits
• Direct, participate in and report findings of comprehensive client Competitive Search Analysis
• Create and recommend SEO Strategies and tactics
• Recommend SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies
• Manage client expectations, deliverables and timelines
• Direct and manage internal and external teams Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Manages team that creates, proofs and posts web copy, content documents and online marketing efforts including email campaigns
• Ensures web content is written and presented in a format that meets Web usability standards
• Remains consistent with design guidelines and brand image
• Creates concise communications which gets to the point, tells a story in simple words, and persuades people to take action • Manage team in high volume, tight deadline environment
• Optimize various web site components including title tags, meta-descriptions, keyword density, internal linking, site map, etc
• Maximize search engine optimization of the existing sites
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years’ experience in SEO
• 1-2+ years of management experience
• Has managed a team of 5+ employees
• Excellent copywriting skills with a high standard of written English
• Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams
• An in depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and factors that influence high rankings in Google
• Experience with PPC - Management of Pay per click programs
• Highly analytical mind, comfortable manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data.
• Ability to perform research, analyze websites, document changes, and make decisions regarding optimization approach
• Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Comfortable interacting with C-level executives
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
