A client here in NYC is looking for a junior - mid level Community and Content Strategist for a temp to perm opportunity (3 month conversion). Start: ASAP

- Looking for someone who can build out social media and content for their community 
- This person will be supporting the maintenance of their blogs
- Working with a strategist to keep their community engaged and active. Right now, their community is 1,000-2,000 people. They are a start up, so not big yet 

3 main components of this job:
- Maintaining their social presence and building that out
- Community content: taking trending content and plugging that into their social media
- Content creation: finding out what the hot trends are and involving that into their website


This client is looking for a creative, dedicated and multi-talented Community and Content Strategist to join their New York-based team. You’ll also be in charge of managing social media channels, including content creation, campaigns, email marketing support and community management. This role reports to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, working in a passionate team dedicated to  build the next great way to find the best of the web. 

About the role:

● Building and engaging with our community, including our curator program 
● Growing our presence on social media and driving engagement across all channels, 
including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram 
● Develop and execute original campaigns and help build partnerships 
● Assist with curating quality, trending content 
● Engage with our community of users and grow our curator program 
● Managing the blog including developing an editorial calendar, copywriting, and 
seeking out partnerships with influencers and our ambassadors 
● Supporting other campaign efforts as needed to drive user acquisition and retention 

You Have: 

● A 4-year degree and at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in social media, marketing and/or communications 
● Ability to create and execute innovative community building campaigns 
● Experience reporting on social media analytics and optimizing to improve performance 
● Experience working with a budget on paid social campaigns 
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
● Excellent judgment on discerning quality, meaningful content 
● A background of working in a startup environment and wearing many hats 
● You’re a creative thinker, self-starter, and exude positivity 
● You’re tech-savvy, interested in the tech industry and how we’re reinventing the way people find great content online
