Head of Consumer Business Development

6-9-month contract (maternity cover)

Central London

Up to £57k pro rata

I am working with a leading publisher to find them a talented B2C Head of Consumer Business Development.

You will be responsible for delivering revenues and profits for my client's non-core consumer business areas.

You will also be responsible for seeking out new routes to the market for existing products, as well as scoping new revenue opportunities as they materialise.


  • Deliver the budgeted revenue and profit for the non-core business areas.
  • P&L accountability for existing non-core business areas.
  • Ensure the team is managing costs efficiently and working to optimum pricing for all products.
  • Ensure there is a clear marketing strategy across each business area.
  • Consumer business development
  • Develop a project pipeline (memberships and premium subscription packages)
  • Determine the feasibility and revenue opportunities of any new brand-led products.
  • Grow revenues and distribution for their award-winning publishing portfolio
  • Manage a team of 3 and make sure they are working to clear goals and KPIs.


  • First class business development and project management experience gained within a B2C environment
  • Background in publishing is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and brilliant presentation skills
  • Ability to come up with new ideas
  • Highly organised
