Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Director of SEO to join their company.  This is a high visibility role working directly with C-level and is a critical role for the organization.  

Sr. Director, SEO 

This role oversees the technical side of the SEO channel, and manages a team of SEO Technical Managers and Analysts. This role will be comfortable an taking a deep dive into what is happening on the sites, identify where things can be optimized, and communicate directly with development teams to help drive the strongest SEO possible. This person will be meeting with the C-level heads weekly or monthly, and should be comfortable presenting difficult SEO data in a precise and persuasive manner. Understanding lead generation and e-commerce is important. Some responsibilities handled by the team are: Owning and executing on a wide variety of large and small SEO projects including analyzing log file data, conducting keyword research; manipulating settings in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster tools; conducting technical audits; managing schema and other structured data; conducting meta description and page title tests; managing and tagging bulk content for use by back end systems; analyzing performance data for owned and competitor domains; gathering, analyzing and preparing data for purposes of categorizing content and/or establishing business rules on usage, analyzing data from Google Analytics as well as several enterprise SEO 3rd party tools. Gathering, creating, manipulating and analyzing large data sets. Updating content directly with several CMS systems. Creating and executing on tests to improve performance. Updating/working with content team to update content for the purposes of SEO targeting. Making use of technical audit and log file information to make improvements to domains. Provide consultative expertise and/or task execution on projects working in consort with content, product and technology teams. Knowledge of HTML and understanding of CSS/JS Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing WMT Understanding of factors that impact domain authority, page speed, crawling, indexing and ranking Solid Excel skills, understanding of Regex, Xpath Python, SQL skills not necessary, but appreciated. Proven data interpretation and presentation skills
