Job Description

Writing Specialist – Senior 5 -7 years of experience We are seeking a Writing Specialist to perform a wide range of tasks in support of the communications needs for our  Corporate Services departments. The primary responsibilities will be to support the delivery of communication services to keep internal customers informed of processes, systems and organizational changes. Responsibilities: • Versatile writing specialist to develop content for multiple channels and formats including email, hard copy, web content, presentations, and more for procurement and corporate services functions • Provide day-to-day support of writing projects and online publishing activities that meet editorial, design, and brand standards. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define content in materials • Translate complex information into clear communications that can be understood by a wide range of audiences. • Provide administrative support as needed • Work independently under the direction the Strategic Communications and Information Manager Requirements • 5-7 years of experience • Impeccable written and verbal skills to include copy editing, and proofreading • Understanding of communications best practices and ability to apply them • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint • Strong time management and organizational skills • Self-motivated, team player • College degree Preferred Skills: • Experience writing for procurement and corporate services functions • Creativity in writing to capture the attention of staff • Experience with info graph development
