Job Description

The Media Buyer is responsible for researching, planning and buying traditional and online media for the purpose of building brand awareness and generating leads across multiple U.S. markets. The Media Buyer is also responsible for traffic management of all media placements.

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three to six years of Media Planning / Buying experience


Position Responsibilities:

  • Media Buying
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the target audience (at the brand and programmatic level) and researching what type of medium and placements will reach that audience most effectively.
  • Planning and buying traditional and online media including print, TV, radio, OTT, direct response, PPL/affiliate, direct mail, transit, email, and out of home (OOH).
  • Ongoing testing of creative and messaging across media channels.
  • Analyzing and optimizing media buys and campaigns against KPIs in order to optimize ROI.
  • Meeting with internal stakeholders to ensure that unit budgeting and performance needs are being met.
  • Requesting, communicating and coordinating assets needed for media campaigns including ad dimensions, files sizes, file types, landing pages, etc. to internal teams.
  • Testing and proofing all creative, including landing pages and phone numbers, to ensure accurate tracking of media placements
  • Delivering assets and associated tracking mechanisms to the media companies and confirming that placements ran correctly and as scheduled.
  • Managing POR (purchase order) and invoicing process for media placements and other related spends.

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow up
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work on a team and effectively communicate the results of media placements
