Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Back End Developer for a great agency client in Madison. Our client is in need of a skilled back-end developer who is excited to integrate and develop customer-facing and back-end solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting. The right candidate is passionate about solving problems and looking for the opportunity to do great work with great people.

They use some of the best, modern tools and agile practices to empower creative individuals to truly influence and drive their projects and have built a great software development culture of learning from and supporting each other across our entire group and have fun while doing it.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • SQL language proficiency with SQL Server
  • Working experience with API design, development, and enabling technologies including REST, XML, JSON, and HTTP
  • Experience with WordPress Plugins/WooCommerce custom development
  • CSS/HTML/Javascript

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of Code Repositories (Git), continuous integration
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS / Google Cloud / Azure)
  • Experience with e-commerce website development and integration
  • Experience working in an agile development environment; team-oriented experience highly desired
  • Stored Procedures/SQL Server Management Studio
  • .NET CMSs (Episerver, Kentico)
  • Windows Server environments and IIS
  • Visual Studio 2017
  • C#
  • ASP.NET MVC (and Razor View Engine)
  • Entity Framework
  • Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring
  • NodeJs
  • Version control (Git) (see above)
  • 3rd party APIs (see required)
  • Website/application development
  • Direct collaboration with design teams
  • Passion for online marketing and staying current with relevant industry issues and trends
  • Web standards and semantics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
