Job Description

French Speaking Copywriter: 6 month FTC paying up to €55k pro rata.

Based in Paris. In house team for Creative Agency.

This role is a 6-month fixed term maternity contract, with the possibility of extending. You will be working on-site from the client's offices in Paris.

The Copywriter will be mainly transcreating from English to French but also producing original copy for web pages, email, social media, advertising campaigns, sales brochures, internal communications and an onboard magazine. They will need to take briefs and bring highly conceptual and creative copy to the table.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Lead Writer to create and translate copy for a variety of projects.
  • Generate engaging, customer-focused content that inspires would-be travellers and adds value to the passenger experience.
  • Work closely with both the client and the agency team to ensure consistency and accuracy, making sure all messaging meets the agreed brief and is in-line with our tone of voice and style.
  • Take briefs and make recommendations based on the core message and target audience.
  • Brainstorm copy and design ideas with other members of the creative team.
  • Present options to stakeholders then make any necessary changes to copy.
  • Undertake destination, cultural and product research.
  • Travel to London regularly for meetings and to collaborate with the creative team.

Experience & Skills:

  • Native French speaker.
  • Flair for writing engaging copy using a brand tone of voice and style.
  • Experience of writing both B2C and B2B copy.
  • Skilled in writing accurate, clear, concise and grammatically correct copy.
  • Excellent proofreading skills and an eye for detail.
  • Able to turn complex messages into easily understandable content.
  • Knowledge of the language styles and cultural references that are appropriate to each of our markets.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work well under pressure, managing more than one brief at a time.
  • Interested in commerce, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques, as well competitor activities and successful campaigns being delivered by other companies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
