Job Description

Our client is looking for a Midweight Front End Developer to join their Digital team. The Front End Developer will work very closely with the design and content teams primarily on campaigns, features and editorials, but also on other project-related work. 

The ideal candidate will be confident in contributing their own ideas, and creative in finding solutions to design challenges. You will help make design decisions that make a difference to the usability of the website and the customer journey, and be skilled in implementing them in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to apply and develop their skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must be comfortable with a fast-moving workload, adapting to change and have excellent multi-tasking skills, with the ability to turn projects around quickly, whilst delivering to the highest possible standards. 


  • Produce HTML, CSS, JS components for the website
  • Create technical specifications from functional specs
  • Create engaging & highly functional web pages
  • Responsive development for Desktop, mobile & tablet
  • Develop, prototype & optimize existing & new features
  • Resolve cross-browser layout issues & bugs
  • Adhere to web standards, usability & best practices
  • Provide scoping & estimating for front-end development tasks
  • Propose UX improvements
  • Contributing to team progress reviews
  • Working closely with the design and content teams


  • Experience in responsive web design
  • Strong programming skills and logical approach to problem solving
  • Advanced skills in HTML and CSS, Javascript, JQuery
  • Experience with SASS or LESS
  • Experience with GIT, or other source control systems
  • Knowledge and experience with Docker, Jira and ES6 advantageous
  • Good commercial awareness, passionate about fashion and retail
  • Knowledge of best practices and usability, with an awareness of web standards
  • Good knowledge of UI and UX principles
  • Able to execute pixel-perfect HTML from designs
  • Knowledge of accessibility techniques
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Experience with popular APIs (Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Interest in new technologies, development techniques, and upcoming trends
  • Experience with Content Management Systems advantageous
  • Previous experience of working with back end developers
  • Thorough understanding of website functionality
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills at all levels
