Job Description

An amazing and well established agency in Indianapolis is in need of a Digital Strategist to work with them for the next four months on an ad hoc, as needed basis.  Hours will be part time and vary weekly from 0 to 20.  The qualified candidate will be available to meet onsite at client location in Indianapolis from time to time as well as be available for scheduled calls during business hours.  This is a great opportunity for a consultant to supplement his/her own client work!  This position is responsible for developing high level digital strategy for agency clients. S/he will combine digital marketing and technical skills with an understanding of content strategy, user experience, and media consumption to create measurable results that support clients’ business objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Researches, develops, implements, and measures multi-channel digital marketing strategies and tactics for clients, including but not limited to digital advertising (search, display, social, YouTube), website information architecture and sitemaps, social media, and email campaigns
  • Provides analytics reporting to clients and makes strategic recommendations for clients’ digital marketing and advertising
  • Provides audience and competitor research for clients as needed
  • Understands and advises clients on digital and social reach, engagement, and best practices to reach consumers, employees, and other key stakeholders
  • Understands and executes on SEO best practices, including keyword research, content requirements, third-party signals, and link building
  • Participates in and occasionally leads client meetings and presentations
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest digital, marketing, and advertising research and trends

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3 to 5 years digital marketing experience required, agency experience preferred
  • Strong research, data analysis, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work both independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with budget and time management
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Data Studio, and advanced Google search tactics
  • Experience with Moz, SEMrush, AddThis, CrazyEgg, and other web-based tools
  • Experience with organic and paid campaigns and analytics for social media platforms including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite of products
